Our Home - I created this piece with loving intention to raise awareness for anti-fracking. This piece 'Our Home' represents exactly that - our home Australia, and the states and territories that are not protected from the fracking giants. Infused with rainwater and love from the cox peninsula, Larrakia country, 'Our Home' is a cry for help and a reminder from our Mother Earth that we need to stop fracking before it's too late. The waters of our country are sacred, and important for all life to survive. This is why the painted waterways are flowing with gold. We do not know how badly we need salt and fresh water until we are without it. One day, if fracking continues we will be like Texas America - We wont be able to drink the water because you can set it on fire, and the land is dry and barren. Dead. This is what the chemicals from fracking does, you can look up real footage and studies from the environmental scientists about the devastating effects. Over the next couple of generations or maybe even less, everything around us as we know it could be perished. We need to remember that it is our duty and obligation as human custodians to protect Our Home from harm and loss. If we all work together, the power of people can change the world.
